Book Sale: Over $2000 Raised
The staff fundraising team at gfcu, with all safety precautions in mind, was recently able to run the first in-person public fundraiser in over a year!For more than a month, staff were gathering books and planning how to best make this happen. We even had some members donate books when they caught wind of the plan. Needless to say, we acquired more than enough books to hold a great sale, and when all was said and done, the fundraiser directly raised $1,117.70! The amount was matched by gfcu, bringing the total to $2,235.40 – Well beyond everyone’s expectations for a 3.5hr book sale!
All proceeds from the event are going to Phoenix Mountain, who is currently raising money for new (very needed) equipment to keep the hill running for years to come. If you missed the book sale, and wish to donate, they are running a “GoFundMe” page for online donations RIGHT HERE >
